33rd Scottish Open Volleyball Tournament 25th & 26th May 2019

It will soon be time to dust off the sun hats, knee pads and polish the sun glasses ready for this year’s annual outdoor tournament (and don’t forget the sunscreen) despite politicians across the planet currently causing havoc and hostility rather than harmony and humanity. Our political leaders are being more “fiends” than “friends” with the missing letter R showing they appear to care less about Responsibility for people’s Rights.

But fear not, you can cast you eyes to the heavens and play volleyball with us at this year’s Scottish Open Volleyball Tournament and forget all the troubles of the world.

Our wonderful sport, volleyball, helps break down society’s barriers with our annual tournament providing fun, friendly competition catering for all levels and abilities.

Our 33rd tournament, once again, confirms its status as the number one tournament in the UK with even more overseas teams already booked to travel and savour the unique atmosphere that the tournament provides. More than one hundred teams will again converge on Perth’s North Inch for a weekend of sporting fun over seven different categories of competition for men, women and mixed volleyball.

So spread the word that entries are now open for this year’s tournament and we look forward to welcoming our regulars as well as a number of newcomers to SOVT 2019.

We are residents of Barossa Place, adjacent to the North Inch and have received your information letter. We just wanted to say that we LOVE the fact the volleyball tournament takes place here. We LOVE that people are enjoying themselves and our neighbourhood and making the most of the North Inch. We have lived here since 1993 and have never been bothered by noise but even then I am surprised that anyone would complain about people having a good time, playing sport and socialising. We hope you get good weather this year and wish you a great weekend. We will come for a wander around to see the camp and enjoy the volleyball. Cheers!
